China Kirim Wanita ke Luar Angkasa di 2012

INILAH.COM, Beijing - Wanita China akan dikirim ke luar angkasa tahun depan. Seorang astronot pertama China penanggung jawab program angkasa tak berawak memastikan hal itu. Seperti apa?
Wakil Direktur China Manned Space Engineering Office Yang Liwei mengatakan, setelah meluncurkan misi tak berawak pertama, modul Tiangong-1 dan Shenzhou VIII pada 2011, dua pesawat ruang angkasa lainnya akan diluncurkan pada 2012. Setidaknya satu dari dua pesawat ruang angkasa 2012 akan dikemudikan dua sampai tiga astronot, papar Yang.
Seperti dikutip China Daily, pemimpin tim astronot Fei Junlong mengatakan, dua astronot wanita dan lima astronot pria sedang menjalani latihan untuk ambil bagian di misi antariksa itu.
Yang mengatakan, ada kemungkinan astronot wanita bergabung dengan misi 2012. Kedua wanita astronot itu merupakan pilot Tentara Pembebasan Rakyat (PLA) Angkatan Udara.
Sebanyak 14 astronot pria direkrut pada 1997. Fei dan Yang juga direkrut saat itu. Sejauh ini, enam astronot pria telah diterbangkan ke ruang dalam tiga misi berbeda. [mor]
